The corsair city 45 minutes away â ramparts, Grand Beach and old town
45 minutes from Domaine des Figuiers, Saint-Malo is one of the most iconic cities on the French Atlantic coast. Breton corsair city, fortified town with imposing ramparts, sandy beaches and outstanding seafood: Saint-Malo is a must during your stay in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.

Built in the 15th and 17th centuries, Saint-Malo's ramparts offer an exceptional panorama over the sea and islets. The walk along the ramparts (about 2 km) is the ideal way to soak up the city's atmosphere. The intra-muros, rebuilt after the 1944 bombings, retains its historic character with its grey granite houses.

Saint-Malo has several beaches: the Grande Plage du Sillon, the beaches of Paramé. At low tide, you can walk to the Grand Bé, the islet where the writer Chateaubriand is buried. Fort National, accessible on foot at low tide from the beach, is also unmissable.
Saint-Malo is renowned for its Cancale oysters (15 min away), seafood and Breton biscuits. The covered market and fine food shops in the intra-muros are unmissable. The harbour restaurants offer exceptional fresh seafood platters overlooking the sea.
