The pearl of the Cotentin and Christian Dior's childhood villa 40 min away
Nicknamed the Monaco of the North, Granville is an exceptional Norman coastal town perched on a rocky headland facing the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. 45 minutes from Domaine des Figuiers, it houses Christian Dior's childhood home, now a museum with spectacular terraced gardens overlooking the sea.

Villa Les Rhumbs, the Dior family home from 1905 to 1931, is today a museum dedicated to the couturier. The terraced gardens, set into the clifftop with views over the sea and Mont Saint-Michel in the background, are among the finest in Normandy. The permanent exhibition traces Granville's influence on Christian Dior's work.

Granville's historic centre, perched on the rock, offers panoramic views over the Channel, the Chausey Islands and on clear days, the coasts of Jersey and Guernsey. The cobbled streets, Notre-Dame church, ramparts and Art Deco casino make the upper town a delightful place to explore.
Granville harbour is one of the English Channel's leading marinas. In summer, boat trips run to the Chausey Islands, a wild and unspoilt archipelago 20 km offshore. A day on Chausey with its deserted beaches and seals is an unforgettable experience.
